The Hierarchy of Atollus is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Jeadda Trell with an even hand, and notable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.728 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Evolution City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 46%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, students are known to arrive at school in their pyjamas, vets have been drafted in to help "fix" those who fail the parental license exam, and the government has enacted freedom of information. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Atollus's national animal is the Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Koku.

Atollus is ranked 1st in Accelerator and 90,150th in the world for Most Income Equality, scoring 79 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
