The Founding Nation of Assorro is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 12.352 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 37%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Gambling.

Assorro's navy has been named the scourge of the seven thousand seas, Red Cross demand for body bags are rising while sutures are decreasing, midnight raids drag couples from their homes in the name of decency, and a spate of enforced closures has left 'Government FM' as the nation's only radio station. Crime is moderate, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Assorro's national animal is the Ant, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Doings.
