There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Conservatropolis. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture, Automobile Manufacturing, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Citizens live in superstitious fear of the mysterious glowing clouds that float over Arturickia, Dire Badger is one of the most popular forenames in Arturickia, urban high-volume mailers now receive their mail via chauffer-driven limousines, and citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Arturickia's national animal is the Dire Badger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Parasuborthodox Arturickianism, and its currency is the latinum bar.
