The Dread Imperium of Arturickia is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Arturick with an iron fist, and remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.146 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Conservatropolis. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture, Automobile Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

Citizens are permitted to carry concealed handguns, cheese has become the new icon of political dissent, scenic tours are unheard of after most environmental laws were abolished, and a crusade against barbaric religious practices has begun. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Arturickia's national animal is the Dire Badger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Parasuborthodox Arturickianism, and its currency is the latinum bar.
