It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and the Environment are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lowerse. The average income tax rate is 55%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Ellysian Orthodoxy has been named as Arnsburg's national religion, elderly citizens regularly buy posh multimillion-Zloty mansions, people caught mistreating Arnsburg's flag generally wind up in a great deal of pain, and blood donations have been banned because of the risk of eternal unrest. Crime is totally unknown. Arnsburg's national animal is the Arns Hare, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Ellysian Orthodoxy, and its currency is the Zloty.
