The Masterly Run Paradise of Arnim is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Mickey with a fair hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6.313 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Education, Commerce, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Houston. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Tourism and Book Publishing.

Radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion, there's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, bombs are permitted on planes for the 'security of the passengers', and only 'organics' are permitted to be citizens. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Arnim's national animal is the Bengal Cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is the 10th Amendment, and its currency is the all mighty gold coin.
