The Holy Empire of Armed Jihad is a colossal, genial nation, ruled by The Ayatollah with an iron fist, and notable for its hatred of cheese. Its compassionate, cynical population of 5.38 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jihadabad. The average income tax rate is 69%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

The roads are virtually falling apart, guns are banned, parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list, and the world outside is only known of in folklore. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Armed Jihad's national animal is the hawk, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Islam, and its currency is the riyal.
