The People's Republic of Arcific Islands is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Captain Priest with an iron fist, and notable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.968 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atlantis Core. The average income tax rate is 87%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.

The nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle, criminals are put to death while cuddling their favourite teddy bear, unemployment is through the roof after the government enacted living wage laws, and torture is commonly used to extract information from suspected criminals. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Arcific Islands's national animal is the Greater Muckbat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the coconut.

Arcific Islands is ranked 4th in Oceania Alliance and 85,263rd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -3 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
