Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.466 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Chu'lak. The average income tax rate is 72%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Automobile Manufacturing.

The populace lives in fear of painful execution for minor offences, military spending recently hit a new high, all news sources are under strict government control, and the state has declared war on the environment and environmentalists by association. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Apophis Your God's national animal is the Unas, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Goa'uldism, and its currency is the Naquida.
