The Second Empire of Anemos Major is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by High Lord Thryn Erenthi I with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 8.612 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Social Welfare and Law & Order are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Anemos Rei. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 94%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

A niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, anti-government political posters adorn every building like wallpaper, and Pinkerton agents are called in to forcibly break up white collar strikes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Anemos Major's national animal is the Black Crested Wyvern, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Filerin.

Anemos Major is ranked 10th in Gholgoth and 3,382nd in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 27 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
