The You Killed the Tequila of Anartonia is a massive, genial nation, notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate population of 2.659 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mishgebai. The average income tax rate is 71%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, the government seizes private property for the 'good of the people', a government program is underway to revitalize Anartonia's beaches, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime is totally unknown. Anartonia's national animal is the sun-crested mockingbird, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the panam.
