The Empire of Alararia is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Emperor Titus the II with an even hand, and notable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 2.747 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Defence and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Imperial City. The average income tax rate is 93%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Soda Sales.

Criminals are put to death while cuddling their favourite teddy bear, citizens are allowed to rise or fall based on their own merits, schools have extensive counseling programs for troubled students, and the government helps teach children how to kill a man from six paces. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Alararia's national animal is the Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is The Holy Church of the Nine Divines, and its currency is the Septim.

Alararia is ranked 41st in 00000 A World Power and 95,003rd in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -5 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
