The Supreme Court vehemently protects civil rights and the right to privacy, the nation has an international reputation for compassion, strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices, and the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Alameda California's national animal is the Unggoy, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Buckero.
