The Star Empire of Ainocra is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Supreme Marshal Alex Emerson with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 6.969 billion are proud of their wide-ranging civil freedoms, and those who aren't tend to be dragged off the streets by men in dark suits and hustled into cars with tinted windows.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fustercluck. The average income tax rate is 49%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

UFO sightings are listed daily in the morning news, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, leather-clad individuals can be seen walking their slaves in public parks, and recruitment posters proclaim the army to be both fabulous and fashionable. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ainocra's national animal is the Cuthulu, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Galcred.

Ainocra is ranked 20th in Monkey Island and 111,845th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -3 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
