The Empire of Agasteon Empire is a massive, safe nation, ruled by High Emperor Rizael with an even hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate population of 2.233 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ryliska. The average income tax rate is 72%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The fire protection service is wholly government-funded, crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, the government tries to improve relations with hostile countries by sending gift baskets, and Agasteon Empire has one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Agasteon Empire's national animal is the Phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Hinduism, and its currency is the Liriot.

Agasteon Empire is ranked 158th in The North Pacific and 1,177th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 139 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
