The Solar Empire of Aegidian is a colossal, cultured nation, remarkable for its happy-go-lucky citizens. The hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5.172 billion Aegidia hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aegea. The average income tax rate is 99%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Consumption of cat memes has skyrocketed, citizens living in underground cities have developed a healthy green glow, birth rates have hit an all-time low, and the government keeps introducing new foreign species to combat the previous ones it has introduced. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Aegidian's national animal is the Bumaveda, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the ики.

Aegidian is ranked 40th in Lazarus and 3,323rd in the world for Most Extensive Civil Rights, with 83 Martin Luther King, Jr. Units.
