The Imperial Providence of Acro is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Emperor Adulius Flavius Acronese with a fair hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.273 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Healthcare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eternal Rome. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 85%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Gambling.

Surveillance cameras are banned, houses and businesses are bulldozed to make way for ever-expanding cemeteries, an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents, and crowds of flag-burning protesters tend to accidentally become crowds of burning protesters. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Acro's national animal is the daedric, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Emporea, and its currency is the Lero.

Acro is ranked 6th in Aysling and 14,146th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 4 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
