Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 773 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vonart City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 68%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Quritese lions are considered a delicacy, foreigners are treated with great suspicion, the Holy Office of the Inquisition is the highest court in the land, and Qurit has designated Vonart City as its capital city. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Qurit's national animal is the Quritese lion, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Tuyt.
