Government officials have to mortgage their homes to make ends meet, abortions are routinely performed in North Mack's hospitals, several citizens have complained about scientists abducting their pets for experimentation, and the government is reining in public spending. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. North Mack's national animal is the Red-tailed Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the M-Cred.
