Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5.081 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tzargrad. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The recently unemployed can often be seen at the local homeless shelter, the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative, the importance of winning Olympic gold medals is indoctrinated from an early age, and the nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Neo-Ixania's national animal is the Ixanian Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Ixanian Florin.
