The Social Democratic Republic of Goldsaver is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by President Solaron Solarz with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.314 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Social Welfare, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Golden City. The average income tax rate is 100%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Suit-clad businessmen have been taking advantage of the relaxed welfare qualifications by shopping with food stamps, every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government, children are brainwashed at a young age to accept "Love and peace!" as a way of life, and much of Goldsaver's computer network is controlled by a rampant artificial intelligence. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Goldsaver's national animal is the Golden Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Golden.

Goldsaver is ranked 4th in the region and 1,216th in the world for Most Godforsaken.
