The Republic of 1st country is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Megan the All-Powerful Socialist with a fair hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.276 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Welfare and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sans Pantalon. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Organ donation is compulsory, 1st country's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms, it is illegal for police officers to carry out searches due to strict privacy laws, and pharmacies close down as medicinal drugs are sold freely by the government. Crime is totally unknown. 1st country's national animal is the Lorax, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Pokemon Card.

1st country is ranked 18th in The Internationale and 2,364th in the world for Healthiest Citizens, with 15 Standard Bananas Ingested per capita per day.
