The Empire of 02zim is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Zim with a fair hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 3.143 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pummelonia. The average income tax rate is 96%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The snark is a protected species, the minority inevitably have their addenda vetoed, the sound of wooden legs echo throughout 02zim after the recent introduction of the Foot Tax, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is totally unknown. 02zim's national animal is the snark, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the steiglitz.

02zim is ranked 4,198th in the West Pacific and 100,423rd in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -9 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
