The Democratic Commonwealth of -Hellenic Empire- is a colossal, devout nation, ruled by Emperor Konstantine with an even hand, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. The compassionate population of 8.786 billion Imperial Citizens have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Defence are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Konstantinople. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

All major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas, and fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. -Hellenic Empire-'s national animal is the Turducken, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Orthodox Christianity, and its currency is the Lyra.

-Hellenic Empire- is ranked 289th in Hellenic Civilization and 114,949th in the world for Largest Manufacturing Sector, scoring -18 on the Gooback-Jerbs Productivity Index.
