The Democratic Commonwealth of -Hellenic Empire- is a colossal, genial nation, ruled by Emperor Konstantine with an even hand, and remarkable for its national health service. The compassionate population of 7.918 billion Imperial Citizens are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although the Environment and Defence are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Konstantinople. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Politicians are losing their jobs in a plan to make the government 'leaner and fitter', the study of medicine is popular throughout -Hellenic Empire-, emergency room admissions for 'stampede injuries' have skyrocketed since the introduction of weekly Sabbath Eve sales, and terrified tympanists are finding themselves on the front lines armed only with kettledrums. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. -Hellenic Empire-'s national animal is the Turducken, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Orthodox Christianity, and its currency is the Lyra.

-Hellenic Empire- is ranked 299th in Hellenic Civilization and 107,768th in the world for Lowest Overall Tax Burden, scoring -17 on the Hayek Index.
