The 27 of --------------------------- is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Big Brother with an even hand, and remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 7.36 billion ---------------------------ians are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kringalia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 91%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, drug distribution is tightly controlled by the government, the government is seen to favor Catholics, and the religious lobby has the power of veto over health initiatives. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. ---------------------------'s national animal is the 27, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is 27, and its currency is the 27.

--------------------------- is ranked 3,857th in the South Pacific and 108,458th in the world for Best Weather, with -289 Metres of Sunlight Above Expected.
