Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.853 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Maldora Arat. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Gambling and Arms Manufacturing.

Children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, Malikov's Medieval Faire is renowned as one of the best in the region, the government seizes all major gold finds, and several citizens have complained about scientists abducting their pets for experimentation. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Malikov's national animal is the Short-Tailed Gar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Golden Soul.

Malikov is ranked 16th in the region and 38,822nd in the world for Most Godforsaken.
