Its hard-nosed population of 6.104 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of JarVik City. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

JarVik's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms, pharmacies close down as medicinal drugs are sold freely by the government, the mob and the police have recently had numerous clashes in the back alleys of JarVik's cities due to the government's steadfast anti-casino stance, and cremation is compulsory for the deceased. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. JarVik's national animal is the polar bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the crown.
