The Imperial Republic of Greal is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.675 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

The nation's massive battleships are often mistaken for islands, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, newborns are being raised as mindless killing machines, and Red Cross demand for body bags are rising while sutures are decreasing. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Greal's national animal is the Blackish Blue Tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Greal Dollar.

Greal is ranked 7th in the region and 1,582nd in the world for Largest Gambling Industries.
