It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dominion Heights. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 42%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Book Publishing, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

Ten-year-olds regularly found their own political parties, private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, police officers are seen patrolling the streets armed with satellite-guided truncheons, and military spending is on the increase. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Duxburian Union's national animal is the Coyote, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Dalaenism, and its currency is the Kael.
