The Socratic Republic of Nusseburg is a gargantuan, genial nation, notable for its parental licensing program. Its compassionate population of 19.365 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nusseburg's national animal is the philosopher-king, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the drachma.

Nusseburg is ranked 1st in Atlantic and 502nd in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 154 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
