The Heavily Industrialized State of New Dracora is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by the Citizens Conclave with a fair hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 16.467 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mith Draconis. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Book Publishing industries.

Government officials frequently cut taxes as a distraction from antics with their secretaries, anti-government web sites are springing up, new urban roads are threatening city parks, and protests are legal but strictly supervised. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. New Dracora's national animal is the western dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the new draconian dollar.

New Dracora is ranked 3rd in 10000 Islands and 110th in the world for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring 210 on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
