The Republic of Kaukolastan is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Director Kerrick with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 9.749 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Corsingard. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 43%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology industries.

The government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, urban high-volume mailers now receive their mail via chauffeur-driven limousines, and only the rich can afford the latest medical innovations. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kaukolastan's national animal is the Cyber Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Credit.

Kaukolastan is ranked 1st in The Directorate and 294th in the world for Largest Arms Manufacturing Sector, scoring 23 on the Charon Conveyancy Index.
