The Comunidad Libre of Bariloche is a gargantuan, genial nation, renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 11.567 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Equality, Education, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bariloche. The average income tax rate is 85%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, the government is reining in public spending, Bariloche is notorious for its citizens' infidelity, and all streets are privately owned toll roads. Crime is relatively low. Bariloche's national animal is the nahuelito, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Copo de nieve.

Bariloche is ranked 28th in the Rejected Realms and 3,165th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 42 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
