The Comunidad Libre of Bariloche is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 12.181 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Equality, Education, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bariloche. The average income tax rate is 86%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Bariloche is notorious for its citizens' infidelity, all streets are privately owned toll roads, government officials are held to the highest standard of morality, and Bariloche has been recently classified as an international menace after 'liberating' several nearby territories. Crime is relatively low. Bariloche's national animal is the nahuelito, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Copo de nieve.

Bariloche is ranked 13th in the Rejected Realms and 702nd in the world for Happiest Citizens, scoring 13 on the Relative Cheerfulness Rating.
