The Republic of Zinaire is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.179 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zinaire City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology industries.

The Federal Council of Zinaire has been announced as the new Head of State, parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list, Zinaire has designated Zinaire City as its capital city, and radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zinaire's national animal is the jaguar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the numer.
