Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 14.268 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Gambling industries.

Citizens are expected to be proficient in at least five languages, new religious sects are squashed immediately by the government, owning a tractor is widely regarded as an essential prerequisite to most government positions, and surfers ride tsunamis of record height and toxicity. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Waldenburg 2's national animal is the Pale Horse, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Waldenburger Catholic, and its currency is the Reichsmark.
