Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 7.222 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Noloze. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology.

The government enforces a policy of 'from each according to their ability, to each according to the available budget', airport security is provided by private companies, the nation's new foreign policy of 'very disproportionate retribution' has its neighbors on edge, and Tara Whyt has just been declared ruler of Void Templar in an international press conference. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Void Templar's national animal is the Scorpion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Kalism, and its currency is the Haifk.

Void Templar is ranked 210th in the region and 2,080th in the world for Most Armed.
