Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 11.901 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Reading. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 60%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Uranium Mining.

There's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, torture is illegal, citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, and United Earthlings has designated Reading as its capital city. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. United Earthlings's national animal is the Turtle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Commonwealth Euro.
