The Commonwealth Kingdom of United Earthlings is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Chancellor Wolfgang Muller with a fair hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 16.301 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Commerce and Public Transport are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Reading. The average income tax rate is 36%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Uranium Mining.

'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, minority children spend hours bussing to schools miles away from home, citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, and United Earthlings's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. United Earthlings's national animal is the Turtle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Curo.
