Its hard-working, cynical population of 2.832 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and the Environment are secondary priorities. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Furniture Restoration, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

Leader has been self-declared as the Most Supreme Magnificent Overlord of Everything You Ever Saw, 'unconventional' weaponry has been banned, international tensions are high as The United Government threatens any government with the audacity to arrest its citizens, and cremation is compulsory for the deceased. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The United Government's national animal is the Great Horned Owl, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Republican Credit.
