The Ittoman Empire of The State of It is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Grand Sultan Mehmet XII with an iron fist, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 16.117 billion enjoy great individual freedoms in everything except elections, which, where they exist at all, are populist shams for a dictatorship government that has no intention of ever giving up power.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Honstantinople. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 29%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Gambling industries.

The government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, the government pours millions of Sultanis into rehabilitation programs annually, and education and welfare spending are on the rise. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The State of It's national animal is the Camel, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Islam, and its currency is the Sultani.

The State of It is ranked 21st in Axis of Absurdity and 93,099th in the world for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring -27 on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
