The Deitocracy of Razafas is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Deit Charles The Greater with an iron fist, and remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 8.198 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Razafas City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 31%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Information Technology.

Private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, theoretical science is only theoretical, nobody ever seems to enter or leave the armour-plated flying castle that serves as Razafas's House of Parliament, and international organisations everywhere are united in their condemnation of the nation's zombified military (Razafas has found 1 easter eggs). Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Razafas's national animal is the bonner, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the erp.

Razafas is ranked 167th in United Kingdom and 97,226th in the world for Happiest Citizens, scoring 8 on the Relative Cheerfulness Rating.
