The Primal Force of Qazox is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Shirley Kretlow with an even hand, and remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed population of 13.203 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Qazox City. The average income tax rate is 85%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Gambling and Book Publishing.

Shanty towns have formed around the newly rebuilt commercial district, glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, and concert pianists lie about their occupation to avoid ridicule. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Qazox's national animal is the Qazian Ox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Qazian, and its currency is the Zaq.
