It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pocono City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 59%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Arms Manufacturing.

Politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes, the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, cats are becoming popular in pet stores nationwide, and it is a common belief that a sport isn't sport if there are no decapitations. Crime is moderate. Newmanistan's national animal is the cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholic, and its currency is the gold coin.
