The Distopian Paradise of Maximus Corporation is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, notable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 13.875 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Surveillance cameras are banned, private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, and crime is on the rise as DNA sampling has been all but outlawed. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Maximus Corporation's national animal is the Rodent of Unusual Size, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Page.
