The Heilige Geweite of Der Teutoniker is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Brokkr Hammerschmidt with an iron fist, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 13.837 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The minute government, or what there is of one, concentrates mainly on Education, although Defence and Healthcare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zwergburg. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Spies caught in Der Teutoniker are never heard from again, innocent defendants often plea guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, the government has enacted freedom of information, and thousands of cute furry kittens are trampling everything in their path (Der Teutoniker has found 2 easter eggs). Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Der Teutoniker's national animal is the Richter, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Donar, and its currency is the Eisen Kron.

Der Teutoniker is ranked 4th in Halls of the Ainur and 99,772nd in the world for Happiest Citizens, scoring 4 on the Relative Cheerfulness Rating.
