Billions of Siliars are being blown on orbital weapons development, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event, and schools have extensive counseling programs for troubled students. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Arenumberg's national animal is the Eversong Lynx, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Siliar.
