The Free Land of South Greenspoint is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Governor Robert Joseph Barnett with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 13.715 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 62%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Gambling and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Drunk drivers are sentenced to death, nudity is frowned upon, the police crack down on tax evaders without mercy, and politicians are often seen with soldiers pointing guns at their heads. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. South Greenspoint's national animal is the Armadillo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Buck.

South Greenspoint is ranked 115th in Texas and 81,833rd in the world for Happiest Citizens, scoring 10 on the Relative Cheerfulness Rating.
