The Atomic Boots of NewTexas is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Big Tex with a fair hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 19.707 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, liberal individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of NewAustin. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

The public health bureaucracy is wrapped in miles of red tape, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, 'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, and major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. NewTexas's national animal is the Armadillo, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Fajita Taco.

NewTexas is ranked 30th in Texas and 12,012th in the world for Most Politically Free, scoring 78 on the Diebold Election Inking Scale.
