Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 9.818 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Galva. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 94%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Automobile Manufacturing, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, only the rich can afford the latest medical innovations, 'Mountain Doobie' is widely regarded as the nation's favourite drink, and a government program is underway to revitalize Dephire's beaches. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dephire's national animal is the Gorgons, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Daegonism, and its currency is the Sarajevo.
