Don't delete this message, don't delete it ever. Keep it as a keepsake of the day you were personally selected to join the region of Koeln, a Conservative Region with Excessive People. Okay, maybe, don't delete it at least until you read it. ;)

Koeln is a little island, an atoll, of activity in a sea of inactivity. Trying to modestly build and build until it is, once again, an active hub of Conservative ideas and ideals on NationStates. However, we can't even begin without members, which - as you might have guessed - is where you come in. By moving to the region your helping establish the idea that Conservative and Rightist thought has a place in NationStates – a active one.

For you see, Koeln is where Conservatism and humor are the elegant mixture for our humble abode, German heritage and wit the spicy topping. Milton Friedman, Barry Goldwater, Ludwig von Mises, Ronald Reagan are all our heroes, their ideas – our ideals. On the other hand, there is Stalin, there is Lenin, there is Mao; there is being an ass, uncreative, and thick-headed and they do not have a place in our region. I've dealt with enough of those types to be completely done with them, and so have you I'm betting. So let me say, if you're looking for a nice bit of activity - we're your best bet.

Not to mention our military that is top notch, not mandatory, and is very easy to get into too. For we do enjoy crashing the odd region, usually too fulfill an adding our own unique flair. Our flair, if anything can be said of it, at least gets a few chuckles from the most stoic of defenders (usually grim, mean people whose humor was surgically removed at birth).

At the very least, just check out our forums and regional page, but I would really like to see your nation helping us build up Koeln to something magnificent.

I would like to formally invite you to join a young and growing region called Sorvun. We may be small and new but we have some very experienced members who understand how this game and how an international community like this works.

The great thing about joining an upstart region like our's is that you can make a great impact right away--even if you are new to the game--because we don't have an entrenched system built on precedent that is protected by old members. 000000000000000000000 was refounded in 2008. If you like the idea of influencing the future of a region then here is a good place to start.

00000000000000000000000 was refounded on Christmas Day 2006 after several invasions and internal strife had rendered the region a desolate wasteland. The region was liberated by forces from Golden Triangle and now needs some lively and energetic nations to help with the rebuiding process.

The Golden Triangle was rescued from obscurity in 2007. The region is described as "Golden Triangle in a parallel dimension". If you want an out of this world experience then this region is for you.

Gribble is the newest member of the group. You can make a real difference here.

Absolution...a little place of forgetting. A quiet region of contrast where no matter a states political views nor its history, all will be forgiven then quietly forgotten and no voice goes unheard.

We have our own private forums, in which you can debate in issues, whether you are in the UN or not. Once you join the forums you are known as a 'Minister'. Every three or four months (we are currently debating which one) we hold regional elections, where anyone, providing they are in the UN, can run for. Anyone else can vote. You can run for Ambassador, Reporter, MOI (Minister of Interior) or Delegate.
We also have roleplay. In roleplay, you can do anything from having an alliance with another nation to talking about your own nation. I currently have two alliances, which were both organised in the last week. Everyone is keen to have an alliance, so be sure to click role play and get one.
