Houses and businesses are bulldozed to make way for ever-expanding cemeteries, a government program is underway to revitalize Mavenu's beaches, the government has taken a 'sort it out yourselves' approach to fighting malaria, and Leader has been self-declared as the Most Supreme Magnificent Overlord of Everything You Ever Saw. Crime is crippling. Mavenu's national animal is the Drop Bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Dollar.

Mavenu is ranked 33rd in the region and 1,845th in the world for Highest Unemployment Rates.
