lol im just sitting here refreshing the page

i like the old fashioned way of Recruiting

oh btw

COME TO MARKARTH

Its epic... lol

and we recruit the old fashioned way..... we only have a tool to monitor new nations coming in. :)

Please read over the new and revised medical blockade proposal:

its pretty good

@New Albion Monarch -- We're discussing the fact that many of the invitations new players receive after founding their nations are sent by scripts rather than by human players.

Change is in the air in TNP.
A new constitution is being drafted, which is only just over 300 words long!
Embrace the Flemingovian Consitution: http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/single/?p=8040621&t=6858690

Well, I must say I'm sorry to see the end of RMB ads, because it means the end of all those clever contests. Seems to me that now, the Delegate still has to be on the alert to suppress ads but now there's not even any compensation in the form of poems and other hoops for spammers to jump through. And more spammers may feel the need to use scripts now than before. Oh well. You pays your money and takes your choice.

But the new Constitution looks good. :-)

I am just implementing new elected delegate's policy regarding RMB ADSPAM , The Lovable Monster of Blue Wolf II wants TNP native nations to start talking again in RMB . join the discussion here http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/6881772/1/

@Pasargad: I do understand that you're doing your job, and I respect your obligation to duty. And our new Delegate has to pursue the best interests of the region as he thinks is best for it. I was just lamenting the passing of an era. Over the last eight years TNP has been a significant and enjoyable part of my recreational life.

I had a look at that forum discussion, with a view to signing up on the forum and joining in. But once I read the thread and in particular read the (very) final post explaining the Court's opinion*, I realized that there wouldn't be any point because there is nothing to discuss. By the Court decision, I can have no legal standing in the region, as explained in that post, and therefore it wouldn't be appropriate for me to post in the region's "inner sanctum".

------------------------
* The post reads: Per the Court's opinion I linked in my earlier post, two things in response:

If a player has a puppet in TNP that is used to post recruiter spam on the RMB for another region, then their presence in TNP is not that of a resident (See the footnote [*] in the opinion) and they're not protected by the Bill of Rights.

If a truly resident TNP nation spams on the RMB (although I'm not exactly sure how they would even be considered a resident within the Court's definition) then they would be protected by the Bill of Rights and due process would apply. But again, if that puppet nation is used to post recruiter spam on the TNP RMB, it is highly dubious that they were ever a TNP "resident," so I seriously doubt that circumstance can happen.

------------------------

According to that, the fact that my nation Californian Tourism N was created as a recruiting nation and has recruited here, including participation in the recruiting contests, means that it cannot be a resident of TNP, despite the fact that I've lived here since the autumn of 2004 and the last time I checked I'm listed at something like the 70th longest period of residency in TNP. In addition, the final sentence makes it clear that the act of posting a recruitment message on the RMB proves that "it is highly dubious that [I was] ever a TNP 'resident'".

According to the laws of what I have until now considered "our" region, I cannot qualify for legal standing in TNP. On that basis, expressing my opinion on the region's forum would not be particularly wise and might be construed to be disrespectful and intrusive.

For that matter, I won't be altogether surprised if even this post is considered to be provocative although that's not my intention. So far, the RMB isn't yet designated as a residents' only or citizens' only area, so I don't believe I'm violating existing rules by speaking here as a guest, as I always have done.

As I say, just lamenting the passing of an era. :-|

@ californian_tourism_n I consider your nation a TNP resident and i am sure any court of TNP will also agree with me.and court ruling are there to be challenged .
.I still would like to see you in the forum .

I would be happy to file an expedited judicial review against any governmental action that assumed The Invitation to California of Californian Tourism N is not a resident of the North Pacific.
